One is silver and the other's gold. Anyone else a Brownie out there? :) ANYway, one of my friends from Birmingham and her husband and children came out to CA for an extended 2-week vacation all through the state. She has family out here and has been all over from Santa Cruz to SF and today they're taking off for SoCal. This past weekend, her aunt was kind enough to host a pool party and Mike and I drove out to Fremont to attend.
SO MUCH FUN! We laughed, caught up and drank margaritas and there may have been old-school chicken fighting later in the day. It was so awesome to see Terri, her husband Paul, and their little tiny half-Scottish kiddos Eileigh and Callum. Terri and I have been friends longer than we haven't. Crazy! We became friends freshman year when we had 7 out of 8 classes together, and we still managed to find stuff to talk about on the phone at night.
Yesterday, Mike and I drove down to Half Moon Bay for a little beach time and to see Terri & Co. one more time. We both got pretty burned (oops) but it was still an awesome, relaxing day. On the way home, we stopped at a fresh produce stand and got some fresh peas, onions, garlic and broccoli and ate the veggies with our chicken last night. What an amazing weekend!! Great seeing you, Terri!! If we don't meet up before then, we look forward to seeing you all at the wedding next May.
