Gaaaaahhhhhhh

I have been avoiding checking out my retirement funds and their abysmal performance. I bit the bullet this afternoon and tentatively logged onto the site for my 401(K). Here's what I was greeted with: "Your personal rate of return for 2008 is -19.6%." YUCK! It's really tough to watch 1/5 of what I've sacrificed from my paychecks over the past several years just disappear into thin air. I won't even get into stocks. The only one that's gone up, funny enough, is a company that performs credit checks. Everything else is in the shitter. Not cool.
